While studying film at Purchase College, David's career in makeup began with what was supposed to be a part-time job in a Nordstrom's cosmetics department. After putting in his time behind the counter, he soon found himself backstage working on runway shows including Patricia Field, Imitation of Christ and Diesel.
Since then, his work has been seen in print for Zink, Time Out, New York Magazine, Interview,, and American Salon, and for advertising clients including Target, Best Buy, and General Electric, as well as in videos for Thursday, The Stills and Sum 41. As an educator, David has conducted Airbrush Makeup seminars in New York, Los Angeles and Toronto, that have included the makeup departments of ESPN, All My Children and The Canadian Network of Makeup Artists. Additionally, he is the CEO and Creative Director of his professional makeup line, Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics. | |
